Brandon University is a university located in the city of Brandon, Manitoba, Canada, with an enrollment of 3662 (2018) full-time and part-time undergraduate and graduate students. The current location was founded on July 13, 1899, as Brandon College as a Baptist institution. It was chartered as a university by then-President John E. Robbins on June 5, 1967. The enabling legislation is the Brandon University Act. Brandon University is one of several predominantly undergraduate liberal arts and sciences institutions in Canada.

Brandon University is continually providing updates to domestic as well as international students regarding COVID-19. Currently, the university has suspended classes and looks to continue the same in the fall semester. For the fall semester, the university has decided part classes to be live, a limited number of classes, labs, practicals, and studios will be held in person. In the year 2019, the graduate gender population was seen as 293 female and 86 male. On the other hand, the undergraduate student’s gender population was seen to be as 2226 female and 954 male.
Most of the international student admission was seen in the undergraduate arts degree programs.
All the classes are now being suspended or being conducted online due to COVID-19 and shall resume in the fall semester.

Student Visa Process for International Applicants
- International applicants are required to apply from the Canadian Study Visa.
- The permit will only be issued for a Designated Learning Institution (DLI).
- Applicants need to provide the following documents to receive the permit:
- Copy of passport
- Proof of financial support
- Bank statement
- Sponsor Letter, if applicable
- Acceptance letter
- After acceptance, a port of entry Introduction letter is given to applicants which are to be presented at the airport at the time of arrival.
- The students will then be given the study permit to study in Canada.

Brandon University provides graduate programs in mainly the disciplines: music, education, nursing, science, and rural development. Each of these programs has its specific requirements and specific deadlines which are given below.
